Board of Directors
The Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Corporation Board of Directors is responsible to oversee the management of the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Corporation, and to take reasonable steps to ensure the plant achieves the objectives identified in the Cities of Moose Jaw and Regina Unanimous Membership Agreement.
The board delegates responsibility of day to day operations of the plant to the CEO of the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Corporation.
Major areas of Board responsibility include: strategy and budgets; human resources (including the mandate for collective bargaining); risk management; financial information; system and internal controls; material commitments; monitoring and reporting; code of conduct and conflict of interest; communications; the corporation’s material corporate policies; and board effectiveness.
The board is accountable to the Cities of Regina and Moose Jaw and reports to the Cities on a bi-annual basis. The Board of Directors is currently made up of 7 members.
